Wedding Show Review: The Lab 2014, San Francisco Ferry Building

This past Sunday we had a great time attending The Lab Event at the Ferry Building in San Francisco. This was their third year, and according to a good source *wink wink* they had 100 more guests then they did last year! So, it's growing, and this new location seemed to be a big hit.

Founders, Allison Silber from Engaged & Inspired, Erin Taylor from Bustle Events and Yasmin Zialcita Ali from Floral Theory put together a fun show filled with wonderful vendors, good food, music and a fashion show.

We got there a bit early (and we recommend it, since the first 100 got a goodie bag!). It was definitely chilly outside as the sun started setting behind the buildings, but as soon as we got inside, we warmed right up. The event was held upstairs in the Ferry Building ,with the glowing cafĂ© lights above and lots of people milling about. Music by Boutique DJ's was creating the mood and appetizers and wine were being passed out by the Paula LeDuc team.

The very first set up we saw was glamorous and clean. The all white wedding by Downey Street Events, A Spoonful of Sugar Cakes, Sharla Flock Designs, LiliKoi Design and La Tavola Linens glittered and glistened with pops of gold and glitter. The seating cards consisted of Lucite boxes filled with gold glitter. What a great idea!

Shelter Co. put together a great design along with Batter Bakery, Minted , Brown Paper Design, Kate Webber Photography, Blueprint Studios, Heath Ceramics and La Tavola Linens.  Their tent was really neat with the couches and bohemian style vibe as well as delicious treats displayed so beautifully inside and outside of the tent. We also loved the watercolor style menus and invites. The colors for this whole set up were just lovely.

The Going Lovely girls worked with Vo Floral Design, Fox & Fawn Bakehouse, Little Miss Press, Jihan Cerda Photography and AM Party Rentals to create a fun and vibrant display. The naked cake was cute and fit perfectly with the theme, and we loved the place settings. Look at those plates!

The next set up was filled with touches of cooper and kumquats! It was elegant and fresh feeling. The florals were beautiful and the cake and sweets display was simple but lovely. The vendors that put together this beautiful and chic setting was Frances Lane, Loop Flowers, Pretty Please SF, Stacy McCain, Silvana di Franco and Yonder Design

The final display we really enjoyed was set up by Charmed Events, La Fleurist SF, Design Destroy, Scott Andrew Studios and Patisserie Angelica. We loved the wooden elements like the walls and the really cool laser cut invites and menus and how they really tied that in with a more glamorous/feminine look with the beautiful flowers, glam furniture and pretty cake and sweets display.

A few of our other favorite features included :

Their super cute backdrops and extra large flower props made for some really fun pictures. They also have a really sleek set up.

 The bar by Paula LeDuc

The drinks were really cool and fun to watch being made.

Pretty letterpress by Aerialist Press.

Beautiful signage by Julie Song Ink and the Sarah Seven fashion show!

Monica and I had a really nice time walking around, seeing the beautiful displays and meeting new vendors.

Did you go to The Lab Event? What were your favorite parts of the event? We'd love to hear from you!
