2014 ROUND UP!

Hi lovelies! Thank you all for being a part of our journey thus far. Starting a business is no joke, and we honestly appreciate all of the love and encouragement we've received along the way. Some days are hard and we wonder what on Earth we've gotten ourselves into. Then we plan that wedding, style that party and remember...we do it for love and we do it because we're passionate about it.

Take a look at our journey through 2014. We're thankful for last year and hoping 2015 will be even bigger and brighter!

We planned and styled the most romantically simple and elegant "woodsy/whimical" wedding for Bethany & Eric in January. It was such a pleasure to work with this insanely cool and quirky couple. They were super easy breezy and loads of fun to be around. We wish them MANY blessings and lots of love for years and years to come.

For Valentines day, we created a fun girlfriends "Valen-tini" shoot. We worked with a few amazing vendors like Crafty Pie Press, A Spoonful of Sugar Cakes, and Chambers SF to show off a glamorous and fun girls night out. Specialty invites, sweets, cocktails and a bouquet bar were all part of the shoot, inside a super swanky venue. We had a blast!

In March we added to our business by creating a Vintage Rentals arm of Stylishly Sweet Events. Now we have a beautiful inventory of vintage and antique furniture to add style and decor to any event you can dream up. We have to admit, we REALLY love this part of our job. We always say we could be "pickers" in another life.

In March, we also gave our business a permanent online presence by launching our new website. We spent hours pouring over the details and moving things around, and then we finally found something we loved and are now so proud of.

In April we created an vibrant yet rustic nautical tablescape photos hoot. We used pops of clementine, burlap, and lots of wood elements. It was chic and sophisticated, and absolutely beautiful.

In May, Danae hosted an Inspiration day for our friends. Complete with colorful decor, favors, treats, a mimosa bar and dream board creation area. We had a great day being together and encouraging each other. We can't wait to host another one!

In June, we were honored to do the styling and design for a Kate Spade rehearsal dinner at a private estate. Complete with black and white stripes, pops of hot pink and yellow, lots of mercury and milk glass, and beautiful blooms. What a fun party that was!

From March-August we worked with the wonderful Kristen at Hello Monday Designs to re brand our business. She created new logos and we also launched our blog in August. We were probably some of her pickiest clients ever, but she was so nice and happy to help (all while working a full time job herself). We love our design, our logo and the way our company is branded. Thank you to Kristen for all of the hard work!

In October we styled a Gem Themed bridal shower for Danae's sister in law. Complete with lots of gold and sequins, pops of color, a specialty drink, yummy food and dessert, games and lots of laughs.

In November we were vendors at our first ever bridal show. We were on our feet for about 10 hours that day (hauling, setting up, talking, tearing down, hauling, etc.). We were exhausted at the end of that day, but were happy to continue to market our business more and put ourselves out there in this great big world. We enjoyed sharing our vintage rentals as well as our new package line.

We were asked to set up an Alice in Wonderland themed Sweet 16 party in December, so, that's just what we did (more photos on that to come). The party was a hit! We used black and white stripes, pops of red, lots of playing cards and each table had a different Alice in Wonderland character theme. Of course we can't forget about the tea cups everywhere and the fun candy favor bar we designed. We also worked with Wow Foto Booth who came up with a great themed photo booth for the party and the girls loved all of the crazy props. The night was a success!

Well, that wraps up our crazy year. We're looking to do even more events, shoots and collaborations this year and we have big dreams and goals. Thank you again for your support this past year, you are all part of our success and we love you for it!

Happy New Year!

Keeping you Stylish,
Danae & Monica
